The customer was very fond of the model TV cabinet as in our mahogany collection. However, they wanted this TV cabinet in a slightly coarser, more rustic finish than our mahogany. In the end, old reclaimed teak was chosen. The advantage of old (reclaimed) teak over new teak is the deeper color of the wood. Young teak is often very yellow with little markings in the wood. The old teak has more depth of pattern and color and “lives” more. The result is a robust, rustic TV cabinet in beautiful lived-in teak.
